Distributive Generation

• System Studies

  	Experienced personnel are prepared to analyze your system for potential areas that would benefit from remote generation.
  	Often the need is for system stability or for peak shaving programs. Other times it can be purely financial.

• System Studies

  	Doing a system study is perhaps the most important part of the job. Often strategic decisions require the systematic reviews of several options to achieve the same goal.
  	Our engineers will help you develop programs, calculate fault currents, coordinate relays and fuses, analyze energy programs, calculate losses, determine loads, size transformers, size capacitor banks, and other such studies.

• Transmission

  	Our engineers use state-of-the art software to design electric transmission line, analyzing such factors as ling sags, pole class sizing, pole heights, conductor swing, and guying requirements.
  	Our designers will completely design the system from ground up using your standard equipment if possible delivering you a design in AutoCAD or Intergraph format.
  	We will also assist you in field staking poles and centerlines and developing Topographical Maps (some restrictions apply)

• Substation

  Experienced Electric Substation Engineers can help with everything from 4KV switchgear to elaborate 345KV substation design. Typical functions include preliminary estimates and designs for budgeting or regulatory approvals, schematic development, construction drawings, communications systems, soil preparations, foundations, structures, grounding, equipment layouts, equipment specifications, bill of material tickets, and so on. We will also assist you review bids and oversee construction.

• Distribution

  	We can help with the design of a distribution system starting from capacitor placements, fault studies, fusing, networks, circuit design, pole placements and so on.
  	We also can help layout a subdivision, size transformers, and work with contractors as your representative.

Convert hard copy drawings to AutoCAD

• Bitmaps

  	We will scan your drawings from Mylars, linen or microfiche and convert them to a bitmap, tiff or jpg or other popular format, clean them up, then paste them into an AutoCAD or Intergraph file.
  	These files are "For Viewing Purposes Only" and are not suited for those that require the interactive features of a fully rasterized AutoCAD file.

• Copy Cad

  	This program is set-up to transfer your existing mylars, microfiche, or linen drawings into rasterized CAD drawings. Line sags are duplicated using mathematical formulas instead of just digitized dots on a drawing connected by lines.
  	This allows us to offer drawings that can actually be worked on in AutoCAD for not much more than the cost of simple scanned drawings that are useful only for viewing.
  	We are very proud of this service. Our engineers work with designers and CAD operators to help ensure your prints are reproduced accurately and neatly. Often, we are able to note discrepancies, or omissions on prints that can be corrected.

• Redraws

  	With this service we completely redraw your existing hard copy drawings into an AutoCAD or Intergraph format.
  	Engineers review drawings and if desired, highlight discrepancies or errors if they are discovered.

GPS Mapping of Routes and Facilities

• Feature Mapping

  	We take GPS readings of driveways, tree stumps, culverts, bridges, curbs, fire hydrants and other such items along a particular path and import these features into a map and if desired, convert them into stationing designations.
  	Typical outputs are AutoCAD files incorporating these features.

• Utility Integration

  We take GPS recordings and overlay them on county maps to provide for approximate locations of existing utilities.

• Easement Staking

  These services are geared towards the gas utility business, providing close estimates of easements for construction purposes that do not require certified staking.

Property Easement Legal Descriptions

• Records Research

  We will conduct research of county records to find currently listed property owners, and prepare a summary report or even a notification letter informing them of upcoming events that may affect them or are required by law.

• Document Preparation

  Often legal descriptions of property easements are required for recording purposes. Our Staff can assist you with this effort by gathering the needed information and incorporating the easement into it.
