T-Safe Description
The Complete RF Emission Safety Solution

T-Safe Description || Program Features and Fields || Sample Output

  • Analyze your antenna system for hotspots and incompliant locations on and around a tower.
  • Plan additions to your current antenna system, or design a new antenna system.
  • Handles Microwave, VHF, UHF, Land Mobile, Spread Spectrum, and other antenna systems in omnidirectional, parabolic, and periscope formats.
  • Meet the Compliance Requirements specified by the FCC in OET Bulletin 65.
  • Integrate with T-Site Antenna Database Systems and other T-E Software.
Comply with FCC Limits

The FCC has implemented specific limits for radiation at different frequencies and must be applied to areas both accessible to employees of the responsible company and to areas accessible to the general public. The FCC now requires that all RF antennas be within compliance limits by September 1, 2000. The compliance limits are laid out in OET Bulletin No. 65, Edition 97-01, entitled "Evaluating Compliance with FCC Guidelines for Human Exposure to Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Fields." T-Safe is an engineering tool designed to help corporations meet these requirements.

The T-Safe Solution

T-Safe is designed to help meet these guidelines with ease and accuracy. Using the user-given antenna system data, T-Safe calculates what we call the "safety factor" (or the percent of the FCC’s compliance limits) at points along the entire tower, from the ground up to the peak. In addition, it calculates the safety factor along the ground, as one moves away from the tower. Easy to read graphs are produced from this data, showing where incompliant regions (or "hot-spots") are, for both company employees and the general public. Conversely, these graphs identify where areas are compliant for workers and the general public, helping to establish some proof of FCC compliance.

Powerful Tools

In addition to analyzing antenna systems that are already in place, T-Safe is useful to help predict where a new antenna should be added to an existing tower, or what the RF emissions would be on a nearby ground population surrounding a potentially new tower. Simply add the speculative information into the database, run the analysis program, and within moments T-Safe will provide the probable effects of that system.

Convenient Results

The data and full-color graphs resulting from calculations performed by T-Safe are stored in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet in an easy to read and understand format. Since the data is stored in a familiar and comfortable environment, engineers can easily access and use the results for their own purposes.

Combine with T-Site

The power of T-Safe is augmented by the communications database T-Site, also available from T-Enterprises, Inc. Use T-Site to easily track, sort, manage, and organize the wealth of data that accompanies your antenna based communications systems. T-Safe can easily import data stored in a T-Site database, run an analysis, and then quickly export the results of the simulation back into it.
